We will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter very soon. 17 days to go. It looks like you could walk to Epcot. Is this possible? I have never heard it mentioned what parks you can walk to. Are their any close enough to do this?

    Nancy:

Looks--as well as maps in this case--can be very deceiving...

You cannot walk to Epcot from Port Orleans: French Quarter. However, as you look on a map as the crow flies, yes, you probably could if you were willing to cross a highway and walk through woods! The French Quarter is small enough for you to walk to the resort's bus stop in five minutes and save all of that walking for the World Showcase!

As for other parks you can walk to, no, there are none that close. However, one of my favorite attributes of the French Quarter is its boat to Downtown Disney along the Sassagoula River. It's a must-do!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
