We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. How long is bus ride to each park? How often does each bus leave hotel?

    Hi there Kelly!

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for sending us your question! Aren't the resort buses the absolute best thing ever? There's no better feeling than walking on your resort bus and knowing you don't have to do anything to get back to your room. Sometimes when I'm back home and I can't fall asleep, I close my eyes and imagine I'm on the bus after a long park day and I can almost hear the music and the announcements. Truly the best feeling!

Now sit back, relax and Kelly, we are clear for dispatch! To answer your question, the resort buses generally come around every 20 minutes, though frequency might change to accommodate times of the day that tend to be BUSier. Similarly, situations may arise that might delay a bus' arrival, but most if not all bus stops have televisions with updated bus schedules so you will know exactly when to expect the next bus to come to your stop. Buses typically run 45 minutes prior to park opening until one hour after park closing. As for travel time, Port Orleans French Quarter is typically 10 to 15 minutes away from all four theme parks. If you are unsure where the nearest bus stop is to you, I would recommend getting the My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you click on the map icon (second from the left) at the bottom of your screen and click on "Wait Times" at the top of the map, a drop-down menu will open and you will be able to click on "Transportation."

Another service you will be able to use during your stay is the water taxi transportation to and from Disney Springs. I absolutely love taking the water taxis as feeling the light breeze is so relaxing and as they allow you to admire the beautiful scenery. Most routes run every 15 to 30 minutes and hours of operation may vary due to weather.

I hope this was helpful, Kelly, and that you have the best day ever at the Walt Disney World Resort on your upcoming trip! If any questions come up in the time leading up to your trip, don't hesitate to reach out!

    Have a magical day,
