    I am staying at port Orleans French quarter 6/6-6/8 and I want to know exactly what construction is going on EXACTLY can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone. thank you

     Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth. I'm so happy you stopped by and even happier to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this Summer! It's the perfect time to experience the immersive Disney Resort hotel pools and the you-may-get-wet attractions in the theme parks. 

     I just love Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. With cobblestone streets, wrought-iron balconies, gaslit lamps, and the smooth sounds of jazz floating through the air, Guests of this unique Disney Resort hotel are transported right to the heart of New Orleans! Beginning this month through November 2024, some rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter will be refurbished. These refurbishments include exterior building work. Not all buildings will be under construction at the same time, so it's hard to know specifically what part of the resort will be affected during your stay next month. Doubloon Lagoon Pool is also currently closed due to unexpected maintenance, but it's possible it could reopen in time for your June stay. Should it not be open when you arrive, not to fret! Bus transportation will be provided to nearby Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside so that Guests can enjoy Ol' Man Island, the feature pool there. 

     Be sure to stop by Scat Cat's Club - Café during your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. There you'll find freshly-baked, Mickey-shaped, Tiana-approved beignets! They're positively heavenly! My family likes to grab them for breakfast before heading to the theme parks for pixie-dusted adventures.
