I am staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter in the end of Feb, beginning of Mar. Are the boats running to Downtown Disney in the winter? This is our first stay at a WDW resort, and I am unsure of what to expect. Thanks for your help!!

    Hi Laurie!

The boats run all year round unless the weather is bad (think bad rain storm as opposed to cold weather).  Taking the boat to Downtown Disney is definitely fun and relaxing, especially at night.  By the way, remember that you can use all of the services and amenities (including the pool) of Port Orleans Riverside.  It's a short walk between the two resorts or you can actually take a boat.

Since this is your first stay at a Walt Disney World Resort, you might consider picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a great book for first timers as it's full of information without being overwhelming.  It's also a beautiful book full of color photographs.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
