Hiya, David!
I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney! How exciting that your
springtime visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner. It is one of the most Bibbidi Bobbidi BEAUTIFUL times of year to be there, with the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in full bloom and the parks bursting with vibrant color at every turn.
And even better, you’ll be staying at
Port Orleans French Quarter! This is such a charming, laid-back resort with a fun New Orleans vibe. It’s on the smaller side, which makes getting around super easy, and the theming is just beautiful with colorful buildings, cobblestone paths, and that peaceful river running alongside it. And you definitely won’t want to miss the Mickey-shaped beignets at
Scat Cat’s Club - Café. They're a fan favorite for a reason!
You are in for such a treat with your dinner at
Topolino's Terrace. It’s one of those dining experiences that feels just as special as the meal itself. I’d definitely recommend arriving a little early so you can take some time to explore
Disney's Riviera Resort and admire the beautiful murals inspired by Disney films. They’re absolutely stunning and worth a few extra minutes of your time.
Getting there is pretty easy, and you’ve got a few options depending on what works best for your day. You can use
Disney’s complimentary transportation and take a
bus to either Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, then transfer to a bus heading to the Riviera Resort. You could also head to Disney's Hollywood Studios and hop on the
Skyliner from there…which, personally, would be my pick because those views are just incredible!
One quick tip: I wouldn’t recommend going through EPCOT unless you already have park admission. The Skyliner access there is only available through the International Gateway entrance, so you’d need a valid EPCOT ticket (or Park Hopper) to get through the park to use it.
If you’re looking for something a little more direct, you can book a ride through the Lyft app and request a
Minnie Van for a fun, Disney-themed ride. Of course, any standard rideshare service is also a convenient option if you prefer a quick and straightforward trip.
David, I hope this helps, and you have the most MAGICAL trip! Thank you for visiting us at planDisney!
See ya real soon,
Kami
