We will be staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter in April, we will have with us our grand children girls ages 4, 5, 7 and 7. Our question is where is the best place breakfast in or near the French Quarter? Is it a long walk to Port Orleans Riverside?

    Hi George!

Whew - you will have your hands full!  Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite moderate resort on Walt Disney World Property.  As it is the smallest resort on property, even the most remote rooms are only a quick stroll away.  You never feel overwhelmed and the landscaping and atmosphere are just gorgeous!

You are actually in the perfect spot for an amazing breakfast - the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory!  While it is a quick service (fast food style) restaurant, you can find one of my favorites - Beignets!!!  As a New Orleans girl, I am pretty picky about my beignets, but these powdered sugar covered fried donuts are hard to beat.  Of course, many other options are available as well.  Yum!

Port Orleans Riverside, the French Quarter's sister resort, is just a 10 minute walk away.  The walk is actually quite enjoyable and you can even hop on the Riverside bus to hit the parks when you are done.  Have a fabulous vacation and keep those questions coming!
