We are staying at the Port Orleans - FQ resort this Jan. I have scheduled bfast at 7:30am at Chef Mickeys. Since the MK doesn't open until 9am I am worried that there will be no transportation at that time (since we have to txfr) - will there be trans?

    Hi Stephanie,

You're going to love Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.  It is my favorite moderate resort at Walt Disney World.  Transportation is easy to all of the parks and I love taking the boat to Downtown Disney from this resort.

Chances are good that you will have the option to take an early morning bus to the Magic Kingdom on the morning of your breakfast reservation.  Be sure to check with the Guest Services desk at your resort the night before your reservation to ask what transportation options are available the next day.  Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, you can either ride the monorail one stop to Disney's Contemporary Resort (if it is operating at that hour) or walk the short distance to the resort.  Chef Mickey's can be found on the fourth floor of this resort.

If the buses are not scheduled to run early enough on the date of your reservation, just hail a taxi at the front of the resort.  The ride will not be long and it is the quickest way to reach your destination since no transfer is required.  When I stayed at French Quarter last June, I was surprised how close the Magic Kingdom area resorts were to my home resort.

Wishing you a wonderful trip this January!
