staying at port orleans can we see fireworks

    Hi Wilma,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is one of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotels! My kids love Ol’ Man Island pool and, in my opinion, Riverside Mill Food Court is one of the best Quick Service Dining Restaurants on property. If you get the chance you should rent a Surrey Bike and cruise around the Resort; it's so much fun! We also enjoy Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and never miss the opportunity to grab a Beignet from Sassagoula Floatworks and FoodFactory when we visit!

You will not be able to see the Fireworks in great detail from either Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside or Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter as the Theme Parks are a bit too far away, and there are trees that block the view. You might get a small glimpse or hear the bursts from Epcot's IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. If you want to view fireworks outside of the Theme Parks then I suggest heading to the beach area at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort or the Marina at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa; both offer an absolutely breathtaking view of Wishes nighttime spectacular fireworks show! You can also head over to Disney's Beach Club Resort and view the New Years version of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth on the bridge just before the International Gateway entrance to Epcot.

I hope this information helps. Please let us know if we can help you with any additional vacation planning questions!

    Magical Wishes,
    Susan
