We will be staying at Port Orleans in Feb 2014 but my inlaws will be staying elsewhere in Florida and will only be joining us for a few days. Can I make dinner reservations for the six of us if my family of four has a dining plan but my inlaws do not?

    Hi Mary Ellen!

Thank you for visiting us at Disney Parks Moms panel and congratulations on your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World! A Walt Disney World vacation with extended family is always so much fun and I think it's great that your in-laws are able to join in on the fun.  Yes, you can absolutely make dining reservations including your in-laws even if they are not participating in Disney's Dining Plan.  The hostess and your server at the restaurant will both ask if your party is using Disney's Dining Plan, just let them know that only a part of your party is participating and they will be able to split the check up with no problems.  Keep in mind that at Walt Disney World restaurants, any party with 6 or more guests will have an automatic gratuity of 18%.  The automatic gratuity is the same for all guests with 6 or more in their party and doesn't depend on participation in Disney's Dining Plan.

I hope this helps and please visit me again if you have anymore questions!

    Happy Planning!
