We will be staying at Port Oreans for a week in may and I was wondering what the rules were for going to the other resorts for meals and if you can take your kids to play on the sandy beaches

    Hi Carmen,

Thanks for writing.  You are absolutely welcome to travel to other resorts to eat at their restaurants.  We love to "resort hop" for dinner to experience as many of Walt Disney World's fantastic eateries as possible.  In fact, some of our absolute favorite restaurants are located on-site at the various Disney resorts.  Chef Mickey's for example, is located at the Contemporary Resort, and is, in my opinion, the quintessential Disney character meal.  If you happen to visit a resort with a beach for dinner, your kids will be free to play in the sand for a bit.  We've watched the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian Resort many times while my children have enjoyed hanging out in the sand.  Have fun planning!
