If you are staying at Port Orleans-RIverside are you allowed to go and swim at Port Orleans-French Quarter?

    Hi Tammy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for sending us this excellent question.

My family really enjoys Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, which boasts a total of 6 splash-tastic fun pools. These include 3 in Alligator Bayou, 2 in Magnolia Bend, as well as, Ol’ Man Island – which is fashioned after an abandoned sawmill.

The idea of using the pool facilities at a different Disney Resort Hotel other than the one you booked is generally not permitted. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule of complementary alternative pool use. As it happens, "pool hopping" is allowed between Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.

The "pool hopping" benefit between the two sister-resorts will grant you access to Doubloon Lagoon too. Therefore, your family will be able to enjoy 7 pools altogether! The Mardi Gras themed-pool, at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, features King Neptune riding atop an impressive 51-foot-long snaking sea serpent slide.

All of the above being said, the "pool hopping" perk between the two sister-hotels can exclude peak periods, when Walt Disney World Resort reserves the right to restrict pool access only to Guests staying at a specific resort. To find out about pool-access availability, please check with a Cast Member at the time of your visit.

Wishing you a most memorable vacation at the place where The Magic is Endless!
