Staying at POR in 1 week. We have a friend living in the area that wants to meet us for a day, but not at a park. Will they be able to join us at our resort pool?

    Hi Meagan,

Your trip is right around the corner! I know you must be excited. My family loved our stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. It's such a beautiful Resort.

The Disney Resort Hotel pools are available only to Guests staying at the Resort. When our Florida friends visit us during a Walt Disney World vacation, we often meet up for a meal at one of the Resort restaurants or at Disney Springs to enjoy the atmosphere and catch up. One nice thing about this idea is that you can travel to Disney Springs by boat from your Resort! It's a lovely boat ride and something my family loves to do.

If you prefer to stay at Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside with your friends, another idea is to enjoy another recreation option like Movies Under the Stars, a Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride or even fishing!

I hope you have a wonderful vacation and enjoy visiting with your friend, Meagan. Thanks so much for visiting with your great question!

    Have a magical day,

    Andrea U.
