We are staying at POR in September and my DS would like to know if the mattress on the murphy bed can removed from the bed and placed on the floor, for some reason he would prefer it that way? Thank you for your help

    Hi Robert,

I'm not one hundred percent positive, but I believe that the Murphy bed mattress is actually anchored to the bed. It's really not as high as it appears in some of the photos. You can request bed rails if this would make him feel more secure. Also, there is enough room that a small blow up mattress might be able to fit on the floor. I know that would mean bringing an extra item from home, but it offers you another option.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
