    Staying at POR 6/11-15. Plan to do online check-in. Do not have preferred room. Will be in alligator bayou room that sleep 5 (kids 12,10,5). Will mostly be driving instead of taking buses. What room requests should I make and why? Thanks for your help!

    Alligator Bayou is my favorite section of Riverside, so you are in for a fun vacation!  

    Room requests are certainly not required.   Feel free to request a room if you prefer first floor for convenience, or an upper floor for a quieter room.  If you have any needs for an accessible room, you will certainly want to mention that.  

    During online check-in, even though you are in a standard room you may want to request to be closer to food court, or close to a pool.  It all just depends on your travel habits and wish list items.   Since you are planning to drive, you may even want to send a fax to your resort 4 -5 days prior to arrival requesting a room near the parking lot.  It is up to you!

    Quick bit of advice about driving:  Even if you plan to drive most of the time, I suggest taking the bus to the Magic Kingdom, as the bus drops you right at the front gates. The other time you will want to use Disney transportation is to Downtown Disney since there is convenient boat service right at your resort!

    In reality, each room location has its own advantages, so you really cannot go wrong with any location at Port Orleans Riverside.  Enjoy your stay!
