    We will be staying at POR in October and wondered which bus stop picks up first. I've heard conflicting reports from the "expert" guide books. One says the main South Depot and another says the West Depot. Thanks!

    Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.
    I just stayed at Port Orleans - Riverside in December, and am happy to help you out with some answers!

    The first stop made by Disney Transportation Buses on the way into the resort if the South Depot which is the 'main' stop outside the resort lobby. Second is the West Depot in Alligator Bayou, third is the North Depot between Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend and finally the East Depot in the Magnolia Bend section of the resort before heading out to the destination.

    Prior to making these stops, the bus will often have stopped at the smaller, neighbouring, French Quarter Resort.

    When returning to the resort at the end of the day, depending where you're staying on the resort property, you may find it fast to disembark at the South Depot (first stop at the lobby) and walk across the foot bridge. We were in the Oak Building in Magnolia Bend and found this to be faster than waiting through the additional stops. In the morning however, we preferred to get on at the East Depot so that we were headed on our way right after boarding the bus. Parterre Building Royal Guest Rooms are also a short walk to/from the South Depot. Preferred location Alligator Bayou rooms as well as buildings 16 and 17 are also closer to the first stop or 'South Depot.'

    If you're in the 20's or 30's buildings in Alligator Bayou or Acadian Building (80) in Magnolia Bend, you'll find it quicker to wait until your usual West Depot of North Depot stop.
