    Hello! Staying at POR May5th-9th and did not think getting a dining plan was worth it for the 2 of us going. We are looking to eat cheap pretty much for every meal as we want to spend our money on other things. Can you tell me some inexpensive places?

    Hi Heather,

    I completely understand you wanting to keep yourselves on a budget and save your money for things other than dining. I'd love to offer some of my favorite spots that are relatively inexpensive while still delicious and offer a variety of choices.

    Hands down, my favorite quick service location at Magic Kingdom is Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square. It offers unique choices like chowder, lobster rolls, and fried fish all for a value without compromising the flavor. This location also has tons of seating up and downstairs, which is a huge factor when dining during busy times of the day. In Epcot, I like getting small snacks throughout the day around World Showcase in place of a big meal. This gives you the opportunity to sample flavors from around the globe without hurting your wallet on a large sit down meal that only focuses on one country or region. There are brats and pretzels at Sommerfest in Germany, delicious pastries in Norway at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe, gelato in France at L'Artisan de Glaces, and potstickers and eggrolls at Lotus Blossom Cafe in China. In Disney's Hollywood Studios, I recommend the Sunset Ranch Market. This outdoor quick-service market has different stands with different options. So, if one person wants a burger, but another wants pizza, you are all set without having to walk all over the park. Lastly, at Disney's Animal Kingdom, my family's go-to favorite is Flame Tree Barbecue. Again, the amount of food you get for the price is well worth the cost and we often share a larger entree from here to save a little extra money, too.

    Don't forget to check out the grab and go section at  your resort to stock up on small snacks and fruit to keep in your backpack for munching on later, thus saving you a little extra money on more expensive snacks in the park.
