Staying at POR. Making character ADR for Chef Mickey & Ohana. Would it make sense to taxi to the TTC and monorail to CR & Poly? Would that take less time than going to MK and grabbing the monorail? I assume a taxi from POR to TTC would only be $10

Hi Tiffany!  You have some great dining choices planned.  My family loves 'Ohana!  We eat there each trip we take to Walt Disney World.

I don't think I would take a taxi to the Transportation and Ticket Center.  If you are wanting to take a taxi, I would suggest taking it straight to the resort you are dining at.  I don't think you would save much time or money by going to the Transportation and Ticket Center first and then hoping the monorail to Disney's Polynesian Resort or Disney's Contemporary Resort.

What we normally do is hop on a bus from our resort to the Magic Kingdom and then walk to the monorail located right outside the Magic Kingdom gates.  From there, we board the monorail to our final destination.   We like using the Disney transportation system, I find that it is always pretty timely.  It is one less thing I have to worry about while on vacation.

    Have a great trip!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
