We are staying at POR this July and have a dinner reservation at Beaches and Cream for 6:30. What is the best way to get from the resort to the restaurant? Can we get to Beach Club by boat? Thanks!

    Hi Connie,

While there is water taxi service from Port Orleans Riverside to Disney Springs, you won't be able to take a boat directly from your resort to the Beach Club resort and Beaches & Cream. The complimentary Walt Disney World transportation system does not operation from resort-to-resort so you have a couple of options to reach your reservation.

The fastest route on Disney transportation would be a bus from Port Orleans to Hollywood Studios. The ride is about 15 minutes once you board the bus. At Hollywood Studios, you then can catch a Friendship Boat to the Yacht and Beach Club Marina. The Friendship Boat will stop first at the Swan and Dolphin dock before proceeding to the Beach Club. My family usually opts for the 15- to 20-minute walk from Hollywood Studios instead.

Your other option would be to take the water taxi or bus to Disney Springs from your resort, then transfer to a Beach Club bus. I would expect that to take longer.

I would allow 60 to 90 minutes for travel time. It may not take that long, but I hate feeling stressed, worried I will be late for a reservation. If you arrive early, you can always stroll around the lovely resort or relax in the comfy hotel lobby or the Solarium.

Your other option, of course, is a taxi or car service such as Uber. It's not free, but the cost generally is relatively low and it's fast.

Thanks for your question, Connie. Please let us know if you have other transportation questions. You also can find information on moving around the Walt Disney World resort in the "Get Directions" function of the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

    Enjoy,
    Wilma
