We are staying at POR in December! (yay!) We'd love to see the REAL ocean for a day trip. Which beach would be the best for our family with interests of seeing wildlife, building sand castles & quiet (i.e., no vehicles on beach, few people) and close

    Hi Laura!

This is a great question. I recommend going to Cape Canaveral National Seashore about 90 minutes from Walt Disney World. It is located just north of NASA's Kennedy Space Center. While there you could also stop at Merrit Island Wildlife Refuge to see some animals in the wild such as manatees. You can easily spend a day out in the area!

I hope this helps. Please write back with more questions.
