    Staying at POR in December. We've stayed at other resorts where you could see the park fireworks displays. Are there any park fireworks that can be seen from this resort and if so where is the best place to see them?

    Hi, Jennifer! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    First, I just want to say that Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort is my favorite Moderate Disney Resort hotel and I even prefer it to some Deluxe Disney Resort hotels, it may be because we spent our honeymoon there in 2007- you have made a great choice! That being said, you will not be able to see any fireworks at this Disney Resort hotel, although I have seen a few sparks from Epcot’s IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from time to time. If you prefer to view fireworks from a Disney Resort hotel, you can always take Disney’s complimentary transportation to Disney’s Polynesian Village or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, both offer great views of Wishes nighttime spectacular near their respective waterfronts. 

    If you prefer to stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside, I am happy to tell you that your Disney Resort hotel offers many entertainment and recreational activities! There is the Fishin’ Hole on Ol’ Man Island, Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, Movies Under the Stars, Campfires, and of course Yehaa Bob Jackson offers family fun entertainment at River Roost Lounge! These are just some of the offerings at this picturesque Walt Disney World Resort hotel.
