DH & I are staying POR Dec 11-18 & are concerned about transportation, ex: planning 1.5hrs for travel time. Thinking the easiest way for most places is from DTD and take bus from there. Any better ideas? We may rent a car, tho not really wanting

    Hi Kathleen,

You'll be able to take a bus from Port Orleans Riverside directly to any of the theme parks. You'll only need to go to Downtown Disney and switch from there when you are trying to go to another resort from yours. Buses don't travel from resort to resort.

We never rent a car. On average, it takes us an hour from our resort to the parks. This takes into account that the buses come approximately every 20 minutes. You never know if you just missed one (so you'll be waiting a while), or if one is coming around the bend (so you'll be ahead of schedule). It has taken us an hour and a half when traveling from resort to resort (going through Downtown Disney). We generally will take a taxi in those cases now. You can get a cab for less than $20 to anywhere on Disney property.

Hope this helps and please let me know if you have further questions,
