Staying at POR 11/6-11/14 w/ DH, DS12, DD8. Questioning final dining choices, mostly Teppan Edo. Looking for something with good steak, one table service credit, and a new experience. Did LeCellier in 2008. Thoughts? Recommendations? Thanks!

    Hi Angelic!
What a great question! When choosing dining options in Walt Disney World sometimes people do not look outside the Parks and in so doing they are missing some of the most incredible dining experiences. I have a few dining suggestions for you that are located in the incredible Resorts of Walt Disney World and in Downtown Disney. All of these options that I am giving you are one Table Service Credit and serve great steak in their menus. All of the menus for the restaurants that I list can be found on www.allears.net

I will list my most favorites first.

Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Resort -- This is a Polynesian themed restaurant and it has a Teriyaki-style New York Strip. It is easy to get to from the Magic Kingdom, just hop on the Monorail.

Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge Resort -- This is a joyful, family friendly eating experience. They have a great grilled Rib Eye Steak and a Canyon Platter which contains all you can eat Smoked Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, Oven-roasted Chicken, Beef Brisket, Mashed Potatoes, Cowboy Beans, and Corn on the Cob Mixed Greens Salad with Apple Vinaigrette, Coleslaw, and Fresh-baked Cornbread. This restaurant is accessible by a bus from any of the four Theme Parks or Downtown Disney.

Turf Club Bar and Grill in Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa -- They have a great grilled 10-ounce New York Strip and Prime Rib as well. You can take a water taxi (boat) from Downtown Disney to get here.

Two other restaurants in the Downtown Disney Area:

Raglan Road in the Pleasure Island area of Downtown Disney

House of Blues in the West Side area of Downtown Disney

I hope that your family discovers some exciting new dining experiences on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
