We are staying at POR and have booked a breakfast at Chef Mickey's at 7:30 in the morning. What is the easiest and quickest way to get there? Free would be better, but we are not sure if transportation runs that early. Help please.

    Hi Melody,

The quickest and most direct way to get to Chef Mickey's for an early morning reservation would be to grab a taxi at the front of Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside.  The ride should only take twenty minutes.

However, there is complimentary transportation for Disney resort guests with early morning breakfast reservations on Walt Disney World property.  On the day before your reservation, ask the Cast Members at your resort's Guest Services desk where and when you can board the "breakfast bus."  More than likely, they will direct you to be present at a specific bus stop at least one hour before your reservation.

If the Magic Kingdom happens to be opening at 8 am on the day of your breakfast reservation, you won't need the breakfast bus.  Just board the earliest bus headed to the Magic Kingdom.  Then you can either walk or take the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  You'll find Chef Mickey's on the Grand Concourse level therein.  Be sure to give yourself plenty of time (roughly one hour) if you opt for complimentary Disney transportation.

Wishing you a delightful breakfast with Mickey and his pals!
