We are staying at POR this August with our 2 year old. Most of our week will be spent at the resort. Can you recommend a good room location for a toddler, close to both PO pools and transportation? Or any other insights? Thanks!

    Hello, Julie,

Disney's Port Orleans-Riverside has been a family favorite of ours for many years, and we have some preferred buildings where we like to stay. Hands-down our most requested building has been #14.  It is right next to a bus stop and the main building.  Similarly, it is also very close to the main pool and playground.  The majority of the views from the rooms are lovely, too.  Building #18 is another favorite as it, too, is close to all the things I mentioned and also near one of the quiet pools (no life guards).

To learn more about the resort, you may like visiting the portorleans.org, which is a website devoted to all things about the resort. I appreciate that it posts the recreation activities for each month. This will help you to make some plans beforehand of things you'd like to do at the resort.  We've always enjoyed the Movies Under the Stars and the poolside parties. You might also want to take a peek at yehaabob.com to learn about a YeHaaBob, who performs at the resort and is a favorite of many Disney guests.

Wishing you a great trip!  Please let us know if we can help again.  -Kara
