    Hi John!

Congratulations on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Garden View rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside (POR) offer pleasant views of the gardens, and courtyards (including water, landscaping or bayou), but not of the parking lots. Garden View rooms can be located in any of the buildings except for preferred locations (Alligator Bayou lodges 14, 15, 18 and 27).

Garden View rooms could have either two queen beds or two double beds, depending on whether or not they are located in the newly renovated areas of the resort. Both Acadian House and Magnolia Terrace have been completely refurbished. Take a look at the resort's map HERE. The newly refurbished rooms have Queen-size beds instead of double beds, completely updated carpeting, furnishings, and flat-screen television sets.

I would recommend asking for a room in Magnolia Terrace. This is one of the most desirable locations at the resort due to its relative proximity to Boatwright's Dining Hall, Ol' Man Island (main pool area), the resort's lobby, and a bus stop. Please understand that although Disney will try to honor all room requests, they cannot guarantee them. I would suggest double-checking with the resort a few days before you are due to arrive, just to be sure the request is noted on the reservation.

Wishing you a most magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
