    Hi. We are staying at POR in Aug. As a Birthday surprise for my Wife, I have booked a night at a Deluxe Resort. I created another MDE account to hide this booking from her. Will this affect our original Reservations? If so how do I delete my account?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Phil!

    How wonderful you are planning a special birthday surprise for your wife at one of the Walt Disney World Resort’s magical deluxe resort hotels! I bet she is going to be pleasantly surprised! Have you thought of how you will surprise her with the news? Don’t hesitate to request some help from the wonderful Cast Members at your resort hotels. I know they would be thrilled to help you create a magical moment for her!

    Phil, I just checked with a Cast Member at Guest Relations and they assured me you should be A-OK with your two accounts with a few notes to remember. You’ll end up with multiple MagicBands because you have two reservations. Your MB’s will only work at the resort hotel room each is assigned to. An easy solution to this is to link your accounts after the big reveal. That way both MB’s will work on both reservations. You can log in to your My Disney Experience account to do this, or you can reach out to Disney’s Internet Help Desk at 407-939-4357 where a savvy Cast Member will be sure to link you up and delete any duplicate guests in your account.

    Don’t forget to plan some special birthday meals at any of the exciting restaurants throughout the resort. You can make those Advanced Dining Reservations as early as 180-days prior. And if I may make one last suggestion, how about dinner with a magical view? At Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s California Grill, if you time it right, you will have a most romantic dinner with a dazzling view of Magic Kingdom’s Nighttime Spectacular, Happily Ever After. A perfect birthday dinner celebration!

    I hope you have a magical visit and that your wife enjoys her enchanted birthday surprise to the fullest!
