Hi All- we are staying at POR from April 29-May 4 in a Royal Guest room and my question is this: Taking into account our 4 year old daughter should we keep the royal guest room or downgrade to a standard room but stay an extra day? Is it worth it?

Howdy Jake!  Oh my goodness!!  This is a REALLY difficult decision.

We stayed in a Pirate Themed Room at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort last year and my 4 year old is still talking about it.  The room added more magic to his stay than I can even begin to describe.

But- if it meant the room vs. staying and extra day, I would really struggle to make the call.  Is this her first visit to Walt Disney World?  As you will know, with your current schedule, you will be there for 6 days.  For a 4 year old, that is a really long time.  What about you?  Will you have enough time to do all of your "must do's" without the additional day?

I will tell you, the Royal Guest Rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort truly are magical and I cannot imagine how your daughter will feel when she has her own personal "fireworks" display on the headboard of her bed.

I don't know that I am providing you any help at all because this really is a very difficult decision.  Will she have a magical vacation in a standard room?  Of course.  Will you have a magical time watching her enjoy the majesty of her Royal Guest Room?  Yes.

I think I would map out a list of must do attractions as well as a tentative itinerary.  Do you have enough time or do you need the additional day?  Use that information to help you make your decision and then enjoy every magical moment regardless of your room choice.

Thanks so much for your question and please let me know if you need any further details.  If you don't mind sharing, I would love to know what you decide.

    Thanks Jake!!
