We are staying at POP the last week in August. Are there activities/special events planned at the resort, or is that only for moderate and deluxe resorts?

    Hi Lucinda!

I am a HUGE fan of Pop Century and I have stayed there more times than I can count!  You will be pleased to know that Pop is actually one of the MOST active resorts on property!!!  From sun up to sun down, there is always something exciting going on somewhere on the grounds.  You may just see Cast Members getting down doing the Twist or the Hustle - I've seen lots of guests join in as well.  Near the giant Big Wheel, Cast Members often bring out real Big Wheels for the kiddos to ride.  Outside, you can always find hula hoops, chalk, even a GIANT game of Twister.  Let's see, what else?  A children's parade winds it's way through the lobby every evening and all kids are invited to jump right in.  Oh, and I can't forget fishing in Hourglass Lake ( you must provide your own equipment,) arcade games, swimming and ping pong!

However, my favorite activity takes place each evening near the Hippy Dippy Pool.  Each night a giant inflatable screen shows Disney movies FREE of charge.  The schedule may change during your vacation, but as of now you can see Toy Story on Sunday, A Bug's Life on Monday, Cars on Tuesday, The Lion King on Wednesday, Incredibles on Thursday, The Princess and the Frog on Friday and finally Finding Nemo on Saturday.  Love this!

I hope that you enjoy your stay at Pop Century as much as my family and I do!

    Much pixie dust,
