We are staying at Pop Jan 3-12 (requesting 3 connecting/nearby rooms for our family). The dining plan starts Jan 9. How will that work if we want to add for last part of our trip. Do we need 2 separate reservations per family. Get to keep same rooms??

    Hi Deborah!

Welcome to planDisney! My family was very excited to hear about the return of the Dining Plans, and I love that there are different options so we can choose the plan that best fits our family. The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan includes 2 Quick-Service meals and 1 Snack or Non-alcoholic drink per night of stay, and a Resort-Refillable Mug. The other option is the Disney Dining Plan which includes 1 Quick-Service meal, 1 Table-Service meal, and 1 Snack or Non-alcoholic Drink per night of stay, and a Resort-Refillable Mug.

A Dining Plan can be added to a Disney Resort Hotel Package with an arrival date on or after January 9, 2024. I reached out to a Cast Member to inquire about your options since you are arriving before January 9, 2024, and they told me that you would need to make a new reservation for January 9 through 12, 2024. I recommend calling the number listed under “Disney Resort Hotel Reservations” for assistance in splitting up your existing reservations. The primary guest on each reservation will need to call in to make this change, and I also suggest you make the request to have connecting or nearby rooms, as well as ask to stay in the same room for each reservation at this time. These requests are not guaranteed, but it is always helpful to submit them early.

Did you know you will be able to track your dining plan meals and snacks through your My Disney Experience mobile app? During your visit, you can go to the “My Resort Stay” section and click “Check Dining Plan” to see how many dining plan credits you have used and how many are still available! You’ll also find this information on your dining receipts and by visiting any Guest Relations or Resort Concierge location and asking.

I hope this was helpful, Deborah. If you have any future questions about planning your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I’ll be here at planDisney
