We are staying at Pop. On the evening we arrive, we'd to ride the Monorail. Since Epcot is open until 9pm, should we take the bus from POP to Epcot, and then a Monorail, before returning by bus EP>Pop? Is there a route around EP or MK? What would we see

    Hi Bobbi,

The monorail is my husband's favorite Walt Disney World ride. We always make our plans for maximum monorail time.

If you are planning for the monorail to be a big part of your evening's entertainment, here's what I would do:

As you suggested, I would take the bus from Pop Century to Epcot. You can board the monorail for the Transportation and Ticket Center from the front of Epcot without entering the park. The ride takes about 7 or 8 minutes. You could stay on the monorail for the return trip to Epcot, but I'd exit at the TTC and transfer to the Resort Monorail, which will take you to the Polynesian Village Resort, the Grand Floridian, the entrance to Magic Kingdom and to the Contemporary resort.

You can simply ride the circuit. But we like to exit at each resort and wander through the lobbies and gift shops, often stopping for a snack or a drink.

When you are finished with your resort tour, you can either catch the monorail back to Epcot from the TTC and get the bus to Pop Century from there. Or you can get off the monorail at Magic Kingdom and catch your resort bus there. You also can easily walk to the Magic Kingdom bus station from the Contemporary resort.

Have fun on your tour of Walt Disney World transportation and resorts. It sounds like a leisurely way to spend your first evening and to being to absorb the Disney atmosphere.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. Enjoy!
