    Staying at POP for 11 days 28/9-8/10. We want to try some out of the parks activites this time. Read about bike rentals from WL. Do you have to be a WL guest? Can we rent bikes ($?) in the PM and go to the campfire at night? When does the campfire start?

    Hi Karen!  I love that you will be able to spend more time at Disney so you can enjoy the fun recreation options at the resorts. All resort guests can use the Disney facilities so no worries. Click HERE to see the many places you might want to explore using bikes. I suggest renting at either the Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness as that will give you the most trails to ride between the two. Rental prices are about $9 an hour or $18 for the day. You will rent through the marina at Wilderness Lodge and this generally closes at 5pm. To rent the bikes at Fort Wilderness you will head to the Bike Barn and they close around 6pm.



    The campfires will not start until close to dusk and the time changes accordingly.  I just returned from a stay in Fort Wilderness and the campfires were lit at 7:30pm with the singalong starting at 8pm followed by the movie at about 8:40pm.  You could rent bikes late in the afternoon, then enjoy a dip in the pool for a while or grab an early reservation to the Hoop Dee Doo. We chose the 5pm dinner and followed it with a 7pm carriage ride. Then take a short walk to the Campfire area, enjoy the show, and head back to your resort.  A fun way is to walk back to the marina and hop on the Magic Kingdom boat where you will then catch your Pop Century bus.  You can make a wonderful evening out of all you do and experience things and places you might not ever do on another trip!
