Hello! We will be staying at Pop Century and will be using the Quick Service Dining Plan. Since the QS plan now includes a specialty or alcoholic beverage, can we simply get one of the single adult beverages from the cooler? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Gregory,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort last month and love, love, loved eating at Everything POP Shopping & Dining! I think you’ll find plenty of ways to make good use of your Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan with those food court options.

I was on the Disney Dining Plan earlier this year while staying at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (side note: that resort is right next to yours, and you can easily walk across the bridge to enjoy another really great food court and some different options). My family usually returns to the resort mid-day for lunch and some down time, so we had quite a few resort Quick-Service meals. You’re absolutely correct: Guests 21 and older may select an alcoholic beverage from the refrigerated section as part of their Quick-Service meal entitlement. My husband usually grabbed a beer, but I grew very fond of a certain bright green mixed margarita. So refreshing!

Pro tip: drink lots and lots of water with those adult beverages, because it is very easy to become dehydrated in the Florida heat, and the alcohol can go straight to your head. (Don't ask me how I know that.)

Gregory, the great thing is that you’ll also have the Resort Refillable Mug that comes with your Disney Dining Plan, so in addition to the beverage you select, you can also fill up on soft drinks, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate with your meal. Sometimes I would grab a drink from the refrigerated section to enjoy in the room later and have some soda with my lunch. It was great to have that flexibility.

Have so much fun with your Disney Dining Plan, and have a magical vacation!
