We are staying at Pop Century for my son’s birthday. It’s ours first time bringing the kids! Is there a beach area the kids can play in on an off day from the parks? Driving to cocoa beach seems so far to get some beach time!

Hello to my fellow Pennsylvanian! I’m glad you came back to planDisney, Aneta! Visiting the Walt Disney World Resort is a great way to celebrate a birthday!

While the Disney Parks are incredible, a resort day (or two) to relax is always a good idea! Disney’s Pop Century Resort does not have a beach area, but it does have three pools for Guests to enjoy – the Hippy Dippy Pool, Bowling Pool, and Computer Pool.

If you are looking for a beach, you might consider a visit to either Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Both water parks offer sandy beach areas for play and relaxation! My kids (three boys) love the water parks for great rides! My wife and I love the water parks for the relaxation in the beach areas!

Aneta, be sure to request a birthday button for your son! You can get a birthday button at Disney’s Pop Century Resort or at any of the Disney Parks! Consider the complimentary button a little birthday gift from Mickey and Minnie!

    Dreams do come true!
