staying at Pop Century could someone tell me the difference between a Standard pool view room and a Preferred pool view room?

    Hi, Ted!

Whether you book a Standard Room or a Preferred Room at Disney's Pop Century Resort, you will get the exact same room.  Every room at this resort is about 260 square feet with 2 double beds (or 1 king bed).

So what's the difference? Location!  A Preferred Pool View Room will put you near the Hippy Dippy Pool, the feature pool area.  A Standard Pool View Room will put you near either the Bowling Pool or Computer Pool, still wonderful but smaller pools compared to the feature pool.

If walking a bit further is not a big deal to you, it is probably worth it to stick with a Standard Room. It's any easy way to save (about) $10 a night. Personally, I don't mind the extra walk, and I like that it is a bit quieter in the Standard Room section, with not so much foot traffic. I also find the Standard Rooms to be more convenient if you have a car since you will be closer to a parking lot. I always request the 50's section; I love the location.

Whichever room type you choose, just make sure to make a visit to Everything POP Dining for some yummy Tie Dye cheesecake! Yum!

Enjoy your stay at my favorite Value Resort!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
