Sara-jane from Queensland Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are staying at Pop Century in September. This will be our first stop in America, flying from Australia. Will we be able to pre book our Disney Multipass lightning lanes 7 days out from Australia?

Hey Howdy Hey Sara-Jane and welcome to planDisney!

We are so excited to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort here in the United States really soon! While we cannot wait for you to be our Guest, you do bring up a good point on international travelers and the access to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass purchase options. Let's go over what we currently know.

As you mentioned Sara-Jane, Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass are the new products that will be available for purchase on July 24th. These will allow Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort to plan their Lightning Lane selections so they know what Magic is in store before they visit the parks. At this time, Disney has announced this option will only be available for Guests in the US and Canada. All other Guests will be able to purchase and select their Lightning Lanes once they arrive in the States.

This new way of planning is a big change for Disney. Not only is the product name changing but availability is going to be in advance rather than the day of. As this new process rolls out, Disney may eventually change access to international Guests, just as it has been done with other options in the past. There is no guarantee that will happen and the timetable would depend heavily on how the initial rollout goes. I would make sure you keep up with the Disney Parks Blog and Disney Parks on social media over the next couple of months to see if anything changes with access to Multi Pass and Single Pass options before your trip.

I am sorry I cannot give you better news but my fingers will be crossed that the initial rollout of Lightning Lane access goes smoothly. Disney hosts a lot of international Guests throughout the year and having access to advanced planning is key. Hopefully, Disney will update availability before your vacation! If you have any other questions please let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
