We are staying at Pop Century in September 2009. While there, we don't want to rent a car as we will take advantage of the wonderfully convenient bus transportation. How would we go about renting a car for one day, and how easy would this be?

    Hi Carrie,

I agree that Disney Transportation is convenient, and a great way to traverse "the World" without needing to rent a car.  Should you require a car to go off-site, however, you'll be happy to know that both Alamo and National are located on-property at the car care center.  The center is located near the Magic Kingdom and can be accessed via a free shuttle from any of the resorts.  Simply tell the front desk that you want to rent a car, and they'll help arrange for shuttle pick up.  There is another car rental location at the Dolphin Hotel (which is near Epcot and Hollywood Studios).  You can get there via Disney Transportation to one of these parks and then transferring to a boat to the Dolphin.

You can rent a car for any length of time you need, including one day.  You can visit each company's website directly for reservations and pricing. (www.alamo.com or www.nationalcar.com)

    Have a great trip!
