Hi Clare!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
I'm so happy to hear you're planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Disney goes above and beyond to make their theme parks accessible to all Guests, which is why we continue to visit time and time again! My husband has recently become a wheelchair user, and we choose to vacation at Disney because of their commitment to inclusiveness and accessibility.
Disney's Pop Century Resort is one of my favorite places to stay on a Walt Disney World vacation. The theming is amazing, with larger-than-life icons representing fads from the 1950s to the 1990s. The resort has
three fabulously fun pools, and awesome food choices to please every palate at
Everything POP Shopping and Dining!
If you choose to rent an Electric Mobility Vehicle (ECV) to help you navigate and traverse Walt Disney World Resort, you'll have a couple of different options when it comes to charging your scooter. You may find that you have enough room to fit your scooter in your resort hotel room to charge overnight. If not, Guests are welcome to park ECVs in the outer hallways and use one of the outlets there to recharge.
Bell Services is also a location where you can park your scooter to charge overnight.
Scooterbug is the exclusive Disney Featured Provider of mobility devices for Guests staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. The best feature of renting from Scooterbug is that Cast Members will handle the deliveries and returns of rented equipment. You do NOT need to be present when the equipment is delivered!
Please let us know if you have more questions before you arrive for your magical vacation in March! We're happy to help.
