Hey Kristina-
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love
Disney’s Pop Century Resort and highly recommend a stay. When you walk into Classic Hall and see memorabilia from the 50s - 90s, you immediately relive childhood moments. We have visited three times and each time in different decade themed building. My kids enjoy running up and down the Yo-Yo and Rubik’s cube stairs and their favorite part is the three swimming pools. The Hippy Dippy pool is the main one with 60’s “Flower Power” theme and a nearby splash pad. The computer and bowling pin pools are unique and more quite. Go pool hoping just for fun!
We made Disney’s Pop Century Resort home three times in the last five years and have requested connecting rooms. We have always been granted this request. You may call Disney reservations at 407-WDISNEY (407-934-7639) and put a request in for a number of options for each resort in clouding connecting or adjoining rooms. You will need both room reservation numbers. I would do this at least 14 days before your check-in date. Highest room, near pool, near elevator and near lobby are some options available at certain resorts. Also when you check-in to your resort online through My Disney Experience you may put in room requests. I would suggest calling three days before your arrival to confirm your requests. They may or may not be able to fulfill everything you ask for but they will surely try.
Disney Dad Tip: There is a sidewalk around Hourglass Lake with signs posting interesting facts about special events that happened in the 1950s - 1990s. If you have time, stroll over Generations Gap bridge to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for even more magic.
Kristina, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
