Ahoy, Michael!
A Land and Sea vacation - my favorite! Nothing helps capture the Disney magic more than going from Seven Seas Lagoon to sailing the high seas with Captain Mickey. My family loves to combine a visit to the parks with a voyage on Disney Cruise Line - it's simply the best!
Disney's
Pop Century Resort is a favorite of ours - my kids love the fun
Hippy Dippy Pool, and it's like a trip back in time when you step in the lobby. The displays on the lobby wall (toys and mementos, grouped by decade), take me back to my childhood! (I won't mention which decade that was...)
I'm happy to hear you'll be using Disney Cruise Line transportation to get to
Port Canaveral. On the night before your cruise, you'll receive a letter in your resort room with details about your ground transfers. The Bell Services Team at your resort will begin luggage pick-up around 8:00 am on the morning of your sailing. Simply tag your bags with the Disney Cruise Line luggage tags (provided) and leave them inside the door of your room. Your luggage will be collected from the room - no need to drag your bags all the way to the lobby! Your letter will tell you when and where to meet on the morning of your cruise, and a motorcoach departure time. (Usually late morning, since you can't check in at the port before 11:00am.) Disney transportation provides a seamless transition from Walt Disney World Resort to the Disney Cruise ships!
I hope this information is helpful in your planning. Please come back and visit if you have more questions!
Have a magical day - Diane W.
