We will be staying at Pop Century and have a reservation for the Tusker House in AK for 8:30am. If parks don't open until 9am, how will we get in? What time do the buses start running in the morning? How early do we need to catch it?

    Hi Sue:

Congratulations on scoring your early-morning breakfast inside the Park. The good news is that it is very easy to get into the Park for your meal. When you are finished with your meal, you'll be in great position to enjoy your favorite rides.

When you get to Animal Kingdom, simply head to the designated park entrance turnstile open for Guests with early breakfast reservations. To help you find your way, look for a sign that says "Breakfast Entrance" or "Character Breakfast" (or something similar). This turnstile usually is on one of the far ends of the turnstile row. If you don't spot the special breakfast entrance right away, simply ask a Cast Member to point you in the right direction. A Cast Member at the breakfast entrance will take your name to confirm that you have a reservation and will admit you to the Park with your Park ticket. I would carry your breakfast reservation confirmation number just in case.

Buses start running early to the Parks for Guests who have early morning reservations at restaurants inside the Parks and close by Resorts. These buses are unofficially referred to as "breakfast buses." These early-morning breakfast buses begin to run from Resorts as early as 6:30 or 6:45.  I would be waiting for your bus by 7:30.

Of course, if you want to guarantee that you will be at the restaurant on time or are like me and want the extra minutes of sleep, you can take a taxi. Taxis are generally waiting outside Resorts, or your Resort concierge can help you arrange one.

    Enjoy your vacation.
