Welcome to planDisney, Sean!
It sounds like you're planning a trip that balances flexibility and fun. Having a rental car at
Disney's Pop Century Resort gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace, whilst still taking advantage of Disney's excellent transportation options. You're in for a treat, Sean, especially with
Disney Skyliner just steps away from your resort! It's one of the reasons I love staying at Pop Century myself.
As a Guest staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll enjoy complimentary standard self-parking at your resort, as well as free
parking at all of the theme parks. You can also drive to other Disney Resort hotels to explore, shop, or dine. Just know that parking there is typically limited to day Guests with dining or activity reservations. If you don't have a reservation and the resort is busy, security may politely redirect you to park at a nearby theme park or
Disney Springs and take Disney transportation over. And yes, you're absolutely welcome to use all Disney transportation—buses, monorails, boats, and Disney Skyliner—regardless of where you're staying or which park you're visiting. It's all complimentary and part of the Disney magic!
Here's a little tip: even if you have your own car, try mixing in Disney Skyliner and
monorail rides during your stay. They're not just convenient, they're attractions in themselves! A sunset glide on Disney Skyliner or a loop on the monorail around the
Seven Seas Lagoon adds that extra bit of Disney wonder to your vacation.
Happy planning, Sean!
