Hi, there!
Megan, I'm so happy to hear you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort next month. And with a
little one in tow! You are sure to have a magical stay.
Traveling with a toddler can present a few challenges. Thankfully, the Walt Disney World Resort provides many family-friendly services that will make traveling with your little guy a breeze! For a quiet diaper change in a busy theme park, stop by the
Baby Care Center. For attractions your little one is just
too little for, use
Disney's Rider Switch. This service makes it possible for parents to take turns riding popular thrill attractions without experiencing multiple wait times!
To answer your question, you can expect enough space to sit outside your door at
Disney's Pop Century Resort. It's not nearly enough space to qualify as a balcony, but I've sat outside our room door and had enough space to do some work on my laptop while my kiddos napped. That space is part of an exterior hallway, so I've been careful not to obstruct the pathways of other Guests the few times I've sat outside our door. If you have the opportunity, I recommend napping WITH your 2-year old. My husband and I often rest with our children in the afternoon because we're just as exhausted as they are after a morning of pixie-dusted adventures in the theme parks!
I hope this was helpful, Megan. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
