We will be staying at Pop Century in November. We have a 7:40 am breakfast reservation at the Grand Floridan Cafe. We will not have our own car. What is the best way to get there?

    Hello, Krista. Welcome to planDisney.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is an excellent choice for breakfast one morning during your vacation. I love dining there! The entire breakfast menu is fantastic but there is just something special about their Mickey waffle that I just can't resist!

To get to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for your breakfast you have a few options depending on what time the parks open that day. Transportation to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks starts running about 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to the scheduled park opening time. The easiest way to get there using Disney's complimentary transportation is to take a bus from your resort over to Magic Kingdom Park. From there, you'll hop the monorail over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa which is going to be the 4th stop on the monorail loop from Magic Kingdom Park. There is also now a walking path that connects Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa so if you feel up to a little morning exercise, you could always use that as well. If another theme park opens early one morning, you can always take a bus to that particular theme park and then hop another bus from there over to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, it all just depends on what time everything is set to open on the day of your reservation.

Krista, to be totally honest, there isn't a great way to get to your breakfast reservation that early. What I would actually recommend for you to do is use a ride-share service to get you there. I use ride-share services quite a bit at Walt Disney World, especially for an early morning breakfast. They are a quick, convenient and pretty affordable way to get around Walt Disney World. Ride-share services can pick you up in front of your resort's lobby and can drop you off at the lobby at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's a door-to-door service that is worth the extra money you'll spend on it. Both major ride-share companies service the area and both are pretty comparable on pricing but I do like to check both before calling a car because sometimes there are promotions or discounts.

I hope this helps, Krista. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help. Have fun and happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
