Hey there! Hi there, Emma! I have been asked which is better:
Walt Disney World Resort or
Disney Cruise Line first for a magical land-and-sea vacation. You cannot go wrong with either, but I think you have found a better option with a Disney land-sea-land vacation. That is truly a winning combination!
Several times, I have asked your question about storing luggage at Walt Disney World Resort to ensure I have the latest information.
Disney Resorts Collection hotels can store luggage for Guests while staying there, including check-in and check-out days. The resorts do not offer long-term storage for Guests after their stay.
The latest Cast Member I asked affirmed what I had been told previously: Hotels cannot store luggage for Guests outside of their resort stay. He said that since you are returning with a second reservation, you could ask at
Port Orleans French Quarter if they could keep your luggage while sailing away on the
Disney Wish. Still, he cautioned that they would likely have to say "no," given the limited space to store bags. It might be a possibility but a very unlikely one.
Emma, I know this is not the news you hoped to hear. Disney Cruise Line and Disney Resorts have
laundry services that may help lighten your packing load. I used to wonder who did laundry on vacation, but we recently started packing with the expectation of spending one evening or early morning washing our clothes. The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app makes laundry easy with notifications when the washer and dryer have finished. At Port Orleans French Quarter, you can throw in a load of clothes at the Doubloon Lagoon Laundry Room and grab beignets at
Scat Cat's Club - Café. The beignets are always a good idea!
Speaking of food, you'll be heading to
Disney's Pop Century Resort right after
Everything POP Shopping & Dining has completed its refurbishment. I am not sure what changes are coming to Everything Pop, but I cannot wait to hear how fabulous it will be when it is scheduled to be completed in April.
Emma, I know you must be so excited with a Disney Cruise Line vacation on the horizon and trips to Walt Disney World before and after. It's the Most Magical Place on Earth and the most magical ship at sea! If you have any other questions, please sail back by
planDisney. We're here to help as best we can.
See and SEA 'Ya Real Soon!
