Hi Amy,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I just returned from a stay at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and I think you and your 2-year-old are going to have a totally awesome time staying there. You'll love walking around the resort together, and there are so many fun little nooks for playing games, exploring, and taking cute pictures.
I hope when you say Sunday you mean THIS Sunday because that means you are either already at Walt Disney World or about to arrive! How magical!
To use
Walt Disney World Bus Transportation between two resorts, you must transfer at a theme park, and I don’t think you will have a very magical time doing that with your Mouseketeer. While you could certainly check with a Cast Member at your resort (there are usually early buses running to the theme parks for those with dining reservations), your little one would need to have patience for a bus trip, waiting for another bus, and then another bus trip in order to arrive at Disney’s Old Key West Resort.
While you won't be able to walk, a great option is using Uber, Lyft, or taxi service to get from resort to resort. This will be your fastest option, and should be a pretty budget-friendly trip.
Amy, I hope you’re headed to breakfast at Olivia’s Café at
Disney’s Old Key West Resort. It’s one of my favorite restaurants at Walt Disney World! No matter what your plans, I think you’ll love your time at Disney’s Old Key West Resort; be sure to soak in all of its incredibly relaxing vacation-home vibes. Enjoy your time there with your family.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
