We will be staying at Pop Century in late August, 2011: Myself, husband, sons 8 & 12, daughter 2. I have been told that there are rooms at Pop where you can see the Epcot fireworks from the hotel balcony ... is this true & if so what are they?

The truth shall set you free, Becky! At Pop Century, you can see a glow in the distance and hear the bass-like boom of fireworks several seconds afterwords. It's more akin to a gentle air raid than a nighttime spectacular. Caribbean Beach Resort, trees, traffic and the backside of World Showcase pavilions all stand in the way of World Showcase Lagoon and Pop Century.

I'm not going to leave you hanging though. The best rooms from a location-standpoint at Pop Century are in the 60s decade. It puts you closest to the Hippy Dippy Pool and Classic Hall, where you'll find the food court, gift shop, bus transportation, luggage assistance and other amenities.
