We will be staying at Pop Century in June 2013. Can you explain how the bus system works from there to the different parks? Are there different buses for different parks? We are excited but getting slightly nervous reading all of the blogs and such!!!

    Hi Brenda!

Pop Century is one of my favorite value resorts at Walt Disney World, I'm sure you are going to have a blast there this summer! Disney's transportation system runs very efficiently and smoothly, it's just one of the great perks to staying at a Disney resort.

At POP Century there are buses for each park, water park and Downtown Disney.  The loading area for the buses is located just outside of Classic Hall (where the front desk is located) to the right.  Each bus stop is clearly marked for:
    • Magic Kingdom
    • Epcot
    • Hollywood Studios
    • Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach
    • Downtown Disney/Typhoon Lagoon
The buses will also have their marquees stating their destination, but you are always welcome to ask the cast member driving the bus.  The buses typically will start running 1 hour before a parks opening and continue running until 1 hour or two after a parks closing, rest assured I have never seen a guest stranded.  The only exception is the Downtown Disney bus which will continue service until 2 a.m. typically.
