Greetings Tiffany and welcome to planDisney!
Wow! You are six sleeps away from stepping into that cool, neat, groovy, lobby at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort! I was just there for the day last week and the vibe is fresh and new!
Let’s talk about getting you to EPCOT in the morning. I know you want to get to the front of EPCOT but my first suggestion is going to be to take the simple route and jump on the Disney Skyliner and head over to EPCOT to arrive at the back gate, the International Gateway. This would put you a short walk away from starting your day at EPCOT with
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. This Skyliner ride is quick and easy once you get on board at the Pop Century Skyliner station. You would transfer at the Caribbean Beach Skyliner station to the EPCOT line, stay on board at the Riviera station, and it would fly you all the way to the International Gateway station where you would step off the Skyliner and be rope dropping within minutes!
Now, your other options without utilizing a ride share service. Pop Century does not have complimentary bus service to the front gate of EPCOT since there is Skyliner service. You could take a theme park bus from Pop Century to Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, or Disney Springs and transfer to any resort hotel bus that offers an EPCOT theme park bus like Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa. You would then wait for the EPCOT bus to arrive and take it to the front gate of EPCOT.
If Magic Kingdom was your bus choice, you could even choose to jump on the
Monorail system and take it to the Transportation and Ticket Center where you would transfer to the EPCOT monorail which would take you to the front of EPCOT to start your day. But be aware that the EPCOT monorail starts operating 30 minutes before EPCOT opens, so use this information for your timing.
One other choice would be to take the Skyliner from Pop Century to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You would jump on at the Pop Century Skyliner station and transfer to the Hollywood Studios gondola at the Caribbean Beach transfer station. At Hollywood Studios you would select a resort bus that is not on the Skyliner system that would have complimentary bus service to EPCOT, like Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter. At French Quarter, you would stop by
Scat Cat’s Club Cafe and grab a few beignets before you grab the bus to EPCOT!
Tiffany, my recommendation is to fly on the Skyliner and utilize the back entrance, the International Gateway, to EPCOT! You will be able to walk faster to the front from there than any of the other options that I have mentioned!
Have a magical, cool trip to Pop Century and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
