Hi Angela!
Welcome back to planDisney! We’re so glad you stopped by with your question!
Angela, you’re in for such a groovy adventure at
Disney’s Pop Century Resort. That resort has so much personality! From larger-than-life icons to those sweet
Skyliner views, it truly transcends generations! And what a special reason to visit with your daughter’s gymnastics competition. Go, superstar!
Since the Marriott World Center is outside the
Walt Disney World Resort, Disney transportation won’t travel there directly. But the great news is that getting from Pop Century to the competition is still super easy, even without a car.
The most reliable and stress-free option is to use a rideshare service like Lyft or Uber, or a local taxi. These services can pick you up right at the main entrance of Disney’s Pop Century Resort and take you straight to the Marriott World Center. It’s typically a quick ride, and it gives you full control over timing, which is a big win on competition day! This is the preferred method many Guests choose when they need to head off-property, and I’ve used it countless times myself when my own plans take me beyond the magic.
If you’d prefer something scheduled, you can also look into local shuttle or car services in the Orlando area, though rideshare will almost always be the simplest and fastest option for a Sunday afternoon.
A little insider tip: I always recommend planning a tiny buffer of extra time when traveling off-site, just to keep everything easy and relaxed before the big event. And don’t forget to soak up some resort magic before you head out. Pop Century has some of the cutest nostalgic photo spots for a pre-competition good-luck pep talk!
Sending your daughter a whole sprinkle of pixie dust for her competition, and wishing you both a smooth journey full of magic along the way.
If you’d like help mapping out travel times or want suggestions for a celebratory treat when she’s done, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us!
Wishing you all the pixie dust and luck in the competition! See ya real soon,
Emille
