We are staying at Pop Century in early Nov. Do you have any recommendations on which decade to stay in for quieter rooms that are closer to the buses? Also, any suggestions on transportation from Pop to Universal's Islands of Adventure?

Hey, Karen! I'm a big fan of the 1960s but not paying extra for the preferred rooms (feel free to take a hippie/freeloader jab at me - I walked right into it.)

The preferred rooms look out at the Hippy Dippy pool and can get a little noisy. A non-preffered room in the 1960s on the ground floor puts you in a good location with less noise. In the event that the 1960s aren't available, the 1950s and 1970s are close to Classic Hall and the busses too.

Regarding transportation, MouseSavers.com recommends renting a car, which will cost about $30 for one day (and more flexibility than other options). Mears offers scheduled shuttles (and taxis).
